This simple triangle necklace was made from recycled copper pipe.
The necklace measures approximately 16 inches. The individual triangle measures less than 1/2 inch from top to bottom, and approximately 1/2 inch across.
The journey from scrap metal to jewelry is a fun and labor intensive process. To prepare the copper pipe, we crush it in a ten ton press, and that leaves us with two pieces of usable sheet metal. Then se soak and scrub them clean.
After they dry, we measure and draw our triangles, cut them out, punch and drill holes in the top corners. Then, put on mask and gloves and file the sharp edges and do a nice polish all over. We add a dainty copper chain, connect everything with handmade jump rings, and finish it with a handmade clasp.
