This hexagon necklace is a mixture of two of my favorite necklaces, the Open Copper Hexagon and the Solid Hexagon Necklace. It features a copper hexagon made from electrical wire and a brass hexagon in the middle.
The journey from scrap metal to jewelry is a fun and labor intensive process. To prepare the copper pipe, we crush it in a ten ton press, and that leaves us with two pieces of usable sheet metal. The electrical wire gets stripped of its plastic coatings and straightened and cleaned. The drum cymbals get cleaned and polished. From there we measure, draw, cut, solder, punch, drill, file, form, polish and do anything else that is needed to make our vision a reality.
It is approximately 28 inches.

Due to the recycled nature of this metal, it may be slightly distressed looking. All of my items are almost completely handmade. There may be scratches or marks in the metal, or something may not line up exactly perfect. These imperfections are not to be seen as defects, but unique qualities of using recycled or reclaimed metals and buying handmade.
Keep jewelry in a safe place like a jewelry box or on a shelf when not wearing it. Do not throw it in a drawer or purse, as that can cause jewelry to break or become tangled. Gemstones and shells can break or crack with force. Jewelry can be fragile. Please treat it with care.
