Spiral Cymbal Earrings
These simple earrings were hand cut from a broken brass drum cymbal. When I am making a thin cut along the edge of a cymbal, the material naturally curls into a neat looking spiral. Then I file and polish them by hand, and hang them from handmade 925 Sterling silver ear wires.
They measure approximately 1 1/2 inch from the bottom of the ear wire to the bottom of the cymbal.
These earrings are sure to get some complements, and start some conversations.
Do not sleep, exercise, or shower in your jewelry. Keep it in a safe place like a jewelry box when not wearing it. Try not to throw it in a drawer or purse, as that can cause jewelry to break, bend or become tangled. Gemstones can break or crack with force. Jewelry can be fragile. Please treat it with care.
Cleaning copper and brass is easy. To remove the chocolaty patina that develops over time, see the care instructions below.
Due to the recycled nature of this metal, it may be slightly distressed looking. All of my items are almost completely handmade. There may be scratches or marks in the metal, or something may not line up exactly perfect. These imperfections are not to be seen as defects, but unique qualities of using recycled or reclaimed metals and buying handmade.
