These copper earrings started their life as a pipe, delivering clean water to someones home. After the residents upgraded their kitchen, it was torn out and disguarded. Here's where I come in. I smashed it with a ten ton press. That flattens it and cracks the edges, and I am left with two pieces of copper sheet. After a good cleaning, I measure and cut my hexagons. Then I punch and drill holes in the top of each one and file away the sharp edges, ending with a really good cleaning and polish. Then I hung them on my handmade 925 sterling silver ear wires.
The brass hexagons started as drum cymbals! I cut the shape out and punch, drill and polish like the copper.

Due to the recycled nature of this metal, it may be slightly distressed looking. All of my items are almost completely handmade. There may be scratches or marks in the metal, or something may not line up exactly perfect. These imperfections are not to be seen as defects, but unique qualities of using recycled or reclaimed metals and buying handmade. I do my best to keep these imperfections to a minimum.
