This brass hexagon necklace started its life as a drum cymbal. After it took on many cracks and its sound changed, the drummer sold it to me. Here's the fun part. I heated it until it was rosey to soften the metal. After it cooled, I cut a small part off and trimmed it into a hexagon, and pounded it flat. And then I punched a hole and filed away the sharp edges, ending with a really good cleaning and polish. Then I made a dainty s clasp and jump rings and attached a small oxidized copper orbit chain and ended it with a triangle to bring it all together.
The chain is approximately 28 inches. The hexagon measures approx 1 inch by 3/4 inch.

Due to the recycled nature of this metal, it may be slightly distressed looking. All of my items are almost completely handmade. There may be scratches or marks in the metal, or something may not line up exactly perfect. These imperfections are not to be seen as defects, but unique qualities of using recycled or reclaimed metals and buying handmade. I do my best to keep these imperfections to a minimum.
