This necklace was made from recycled materials. It is available in either copper or brass.
If it is copper, it was either made from used electrical wire or old copper pipe. If it has brass, that came from a broken drum cymbal. The journey from scrap metal to jewelry is a fun and labor intensive process. To prepare the copper pipe, we crush it in a ten ton press, and that leaves us with two pieces of usable sheet metal. The electrical wire gets stripped of its plastic coatings and straightened and cleaned. The drum cymbals get cleaned and polished. From there we measure, draw, cut, punch, drill, file, form, polish and hang these from a copper orbital chain with our handmade clasps and jump rings.

Due to the recycled nature of this metal, it may be slightly distressed looking. All of my items are almost completely handmade. There may be scratches or marks in the metal, or something may not line up exactly perfect. These imperfections are not to be seen as defects, but unique qualities of using recycled or reclaimed metals and buying handmade. I do my best to keep these imperfections to a minimum.
