This simple necklace made from recycled copper pipe and broken brass drum cymbals.
The journey from scrap metal to jewelry is a fun and labor intensive process. To prepare the copper pipe, we crush it in a ten ton press, and that leaves us with two pieces of usable sheet metal. The drum cymbals get cleaned and polished. From there we measure, draw, cut, punch, drill, file and polish little half inch triangles. Lastly, we add our handmade clasp, jump rings and a copper chain.
The necklace measures 18 inches.

Due to the recycled nature of this metal, it may be slightly distressed looking. There may be texture, scratches or marks in the metal. These imperfections are not to be seen as defects, but unique qualities of using recycled or reclaimed metals and buying handmade. We try our best to keep these imperfections to a minimum.
