These earrings are made from two feathers completely encased in recycled copper. They hang from our handmade 14 Karat Rose Gold ear wires.

To make them, we used a method called electroforming. Electroforming is a process where we take recycled copper from an anode and deposit it onto our organic material using an electrical current. There really are feathers in these earrings.

Our chickens molt in the fall each year. Its a natural process where they shed old feathers and regrow nice new feathers. When this happens, I collect the small feathers that they no longer need. Because of this, these earrings are a seasonal offering. No birds were hurt in the making of these earrings or any of my products.

This item comes in a Kraft gift box for safe shipping or thoughtful gift giving.
